Publishing Your Poems: with Carrie Etter

Writing Workshop

In this interactive workshop led by Carrie Etter, learn how to assess which magazines best suit your work and all about submission procedures, cover letters, response times, and more. Bring 4-6 printed pages of your own poems you'd like to publish, and if you like, a print or online magazine (accessing the latter on phone or laptop) you want to try.

Carrie Etter:

Carrie Etter's poems have appeared in many magazines and anthologies internationally, including The Guardian, The New Republic, The New Statesman, The Penguin Book of the Prose Poem, Poetry Review, and The Times Literary Supplement. She has published five books of poetry, most recently Grief's Alphabet (Seren, 2024), as well as short stories, essays, and reviews. In addition to poetry, she loves teaching, cats, cooking, and Bristol.
