On the outskirts of Amman, the Najars are among the last Afro-Palestinian Bedouin families in the city, living in tents on farmland with their animals, including a much-loved pet sheep called Badrya. Then luxury villas rise around them, and a government notice arrives: clear the animals within five days or face removal. As neighbours turn hostile and ten-year-old Eman is bullied at school for her background and the colour of her skin, the family must decide how much of themselves they can give up in order to stay. Asmahan Bkerat's first feature documentary is a tender, quietly devastating portrait of a family displaced again and again, and of a love for the land that concrete cannot erase.
