A
event
held at Watershed
on Tuesday 16th April. The event starts at 18:30.
Refactoring can be scary. Well never fear queers as Evie and Tom are here to help improve your confidence and give you free food!
We'll start with some mingling over pizza and drinks for a bit before getting into some short talks on refactoring concepts (one from each workshop facilitator). Then Evie and Tom will present you with a couple of gnarly code examples from which you can take your pick to refactor! The two coaches will be on hand to help throughout the exercise if you're struggling or just want some feedback <3
This is open to people of all backgrounds and skill levels. One of the coding exercises will require some basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript; and the other is language-agnostic.
// Location //
We'll be in the PM Studio at the Watershed. It’s accessible by stairs or lift, but is a bit hidden away in the building, so here’s some directions - if you get stuck ask a member of staff where the PM Studio is:
* Go to the cafe/bar
* When looking at the bar, you’ll see some double doors to the left of it
* Go through these double doors, past the toilets. Follow the corridor further along and there will be a doorbell to ring for the PM Studio
We will email out a contact email before the event so please check your spam folder!
There is water and tea-making facilities at the studio. You're welcome to bring your own food and drink, buy them at the bar, or snack on the delicious pizza we'll have available from our friends at The Stable next door <3
