Who are we?
Wobbly Socials is a Bristol based non-profit organisation. We want to create welcoming spaces for anyone who feels a bit 'wobbly' about socialising, we're on a mission to make sure no one miss out or experiences loneliness.
Guiding principles
✨ Solo attendees are welcome
A lot of people come to Wobbly Socials on their own; our volunteers will do their best to give you a warm welcome and make sure you feel included.
✨ Our events are safe spaces
Our groups are open to anyone between the ages of 18-65 who may feel a bit 'wobbly' about socialising. We welcome individuals from all walks of life and value everyone who chooses to join us, therefore bullying, harassment or hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated. If you feel unsafe, please let one of our volunteers know as soon as possible.
✨ Our events will always include time for conversation
Socialising is what we're all about so we'll always make sure there's time to chat! We'll always try and design groups that naturally lend themselves to conversation (such as our walking group) but no matter what we're doing, we'll make sure to include down time for people to get to know each other.
✨ There's no pressure if you choose to leave early or arrive late
We're all adults, if you're not enjoying yourself at one of our events then you can leave and that's ok! All we ask is that you let one of our volunteers know you're heading off. If you arrive late we will do our best to accommodate you. At our walking group we will always hang around for 5-10 minutes after the start time to account for any late comers, we can also meet you at points along the route or at the end for a coffee.
✨ Our events are never centred around alcohol
Whilst we aren't an organisation built specifically to support people on their sobriety journeys, we are highly aware of the negative impact alcohol can have on your mental health and we want to create social spaces without it. Please note that some of the venues we host at are licensed to sell alcohol.

Our cost per attendee is £2.13 per event when we sell out (and increases when we don't). If you're able to, we'd really appreciate you covering the cost of your ticket, it helps us keep these events running for everyone.
