Events on Wednesday 11th March
“Come along and draw as much or as little as you like, as well or as bad as you fancy. There will be all sorts of equipment and stationary here for you to use - paints, pastels and pencils. Big rolls of paper so you and your buddies can all draw together, sketch books for those of ya who prefer to work alone. We'll have different objects/people/things for you to draw each week and varying types of equipment so one week could be lots of colouring and the next - collages! Also, we're keen to decorate our halls and lobby with any art you guys don't fancy taking home!”

“Oppo Comedy is a weekly stand up comedy gig that happens at The White Rabbit in Clifton, Bristol. A new material night with a pro headliner and brilliant local support (recent ones include Josh Widdicombe, James Acaster, Russell Kane), we think there is no better way to spend £2 on a Wednesday evening!”

“Dana Schechter (Swans) pairs up with powerhouse drummer Andy Patterson (ex-SubRosa) as INSECT ARK deliver their most harrowing and punishing record yet. Instrumental psychedelic doom duo Insect Ark have creating uncomfortable sonicscapes that feel both intimate and icy cold since 2011.Nightmarish horror film-like visions, outer space travel, and gritty noir textures – all of this and more have been conjured up in their past records, the much-praised Portal / Well (2015) and Marrow Hymns (2018), but now, something even bigger is coming. Prepare for The Vanishing.”

“STANLÆY (Bethany Stenning) is an artist, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Bethany’s musical soundscape developed somewhere in the vague realms of ethereal folk/jazz/pop. Her wide range of influences stemming from the likes of Sigur Ros, Lou Harrison and Hiatus Kaiyote.”

“Jesse Malin — whom the Times says ‘writes vivid songs with killer tunes and sings them with scary conviction’ — and Lucinda Williams — the southern troubadour once named ‘America’s best songwriter’ by Time magazine — first met in the early 2000s at a jazz club in NYC’s West Village. In a joint 2017 Rolling Stone interview, the two discussed their ‘shared love of miscreants, misfits, the misunderstood and the mysteries of everyday lives binds them across the Mason-Dixon line’.”
