Events on Wednesday 3rd April
“Our headliner will be Robert Garnham - Poet, one of Devon’s finest and funniest spoken word poets. A professor of whimsy, and consumer of biscuits; he is an absurdist with a pink feather boa and a serious social message. His work deals with LGBT issues and social representation and he has headlined at the top spoken word nights in the UK such as Bang Said the Gun in London, and Evidently in Manchester. He was one of the poets from the Halifax adverts and has performed at the Albert Hall in 2018, the Duplex in New York and the King Kong Klub in Berlin.”

“Guiding you through his mind and body of research, Robin uses insights from his circus training alongside ideas borrowed from object-oriented philosophy, to offer new ways of thinking about the physical world.”

“BULL: went down an absolute treat last time; having taken on the US as well as the Netherlands, York slacker-punks who somehow avoid the boring tropes of both are back again to grace our wonderful city.”

“Hailing from Devon, Sam began his solo career as a busker in Melbourne, Australia, where he was able to develop a distinctive folk inspired singer-songwriter style influenced by the likes of Matt Corby. Upon returning to the UK and relocating to Bristol, Sam began to focus on shaping his sound and following, becoming a regular on the festival circuit, with highlights including Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds and BBC Biggest Weekend. Inspired by the pace and diversity of the city, Sam’s music has now matured into a fusion of alternative indie whist still preserving that earnest and warming singer-songwriter edge.”
