It's back – for a fifth outing!

Dust off your brightest sportswear, slap on the glitter, and join Bath Roller Derby in celebrating our beloved Amy/Peeka Hurt You, while raising money for Dorothy House hospice. The day will feature three games of different levels, with opportunities for all experience levels. Spectators are warmly welcomed too.

Ticket sales and sign-up details will be available from Friday 17th July at 7pm. Last year skater tickets for the WFTDA and OTA games sold out within 20 minutes, so make sure you’re ready at launch time!

NEW FOR 2026: Skaters can only play in one game to enable more people get involved. We reserve the right to cancel tickets that do not adhere to this.

Why are we holding this event?

In September 2020, our beloved league member Amy passed away a few days before her 40th birthday, following a long illness with breast cancer. This event is our chance to celebrate Amy with the roller derby community she loved, while raising money for charity.

Since the first event in 2022, we’ve raised £22,000 for Dorothy House hospice – and this year’s event will continue to support them. Dorothy House provided invaluable support to Amy and continues to support many of her friends and family.

The Games (Timings are approximate)

* Rookie and Returning Level (OTA) (2pm): Suitable for all players with 0-10 games experience, who have been signed off to scrim by their league. Also suitable for skaters returning after a break, providing they are happy to play at a suitable level.

* Inter/Advanced Level (WFTDA) (3:45pm): For players with roughly 10+ games experience who identify with the WFTDA gender policy, or who feel they are at least intermediate level.

* Inter/Advanced Level (OTA) (5:30pm): Suitable for any player with roughly 10+ games experience, or who feel they are at least intermediate level.

Skater tickets are only available to those currently affiliated with a league and signed off as safe to scrim. Timings are approximate first-whistle times. Skaters will need to arrive earlier for check-in and warm-ups.

Pricing

To ensure we raise money for charity while also making this event as accessible as possible, tickets are offered on a Pay What You Can Basis, starting at £14 + booking fees for skaters.

Those wishing to contribute more can do so during booking with all profits going to charity.

Entry requirements: No age restrictions. Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over. Headfirst may specify a 1:1 ratio, but this is not necessary – you can bring as many children as you can control.
