JACK GOLDSTEIN

Jack Goldstein makes Experimental Lo-fi Power Pop/Emo. His latest record, titled ‘Sandwiches’, is a Brian Wilson-esque song-cycle thats hung up on an anthropomorphised love between a Google image search of Honolulu and the IRL snoozy, under imagined interzone about 5 miles north-west of Oxford that Goldstein grew up in. His previous record, ‘Tonic Of Wilderness’, was described as “a quiet triumph; a lo-fi yet eye-wideningly expansive collage of sound taking in so many moods, emotions and samples that it’s hard to keep track”

GARDEN CENTRE

Garden Centre like to think about garden centres. Formed by members of King of Cats, Joanna Gruesome, Towel and Keel her, they make relatively erratic pop music. Some of that music is based on the experiences and memories of a group of people who used to hang out in an abandoned plant nursery. Garden Centre do not view the lives of these people in an objective or fair way.

GREEN HANDS

90s influenced Dream-Rock-Power-Pop four piece from Oxford now based in Bristol and on the Breakfast Records rosta. Expect big choruses, 3 part harmonies and loud guitars. Currently writing and recording a new e.p. with a change in sound to be released this Autumn.

CHIBA

Chiba invite you into ‘The Reptile Room’, a wasteland of impaired perceptions on the outskirts of a shit-town. Sounding like a cross between Angelo Badalamenti and Guantanamo Baywatch, Chiba make surfmusic for the landlocked sad soul. Like Joe Meek if had hadn’t been so normal.

NICK EREAUT

Nick Ereaut is a jazz musician turned singer-songwriter whose influences include Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, Donny Hathaway and Ahmad Jamal. This year he made his Glastonbury debut and started work on his first release. He has a monthly residency at The Spice of Life, Soho, featuring string quartet.
