A Year on the Land: How I lived a year just on foraged food and items at Wild Goose Space, 228 Mina Road, St. Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9YP
See event details

A event on Sunday 31st May. The event starts at 19:00.

Join me at Wildgoose Space on May 31, 2026 at 7:00 PM for a relaxed evening where you'll hear all about my wild year on the land.

I am delighted to share this tale: a year of eating just wild, foraged food; wearing homemade deer skin clothing; building and living in a ‘stone age’ hut; making all of my possessions from raw, natural materials! This is an epic story, with deep and profound learning, of reconnection to the earth, my community and myself.

The talk is illustrated with photos and videos taken during the experience. I'll pass around items from my year for folks to touch and smell: soft deer clothing; clay cooking pots; bark containers.

Finally, we end with a Q&A, which often develops into discussions of how my experience reflects upon all of our lives.

Monies raised from this talk will go into expanding the provision of nature connection and activities to adults with learning disabilities, through the construction of a sheltered space, composting toilet and outdoor kitchen.
