Learn to Saddle-Stitch w/ Minuet Workshop

Come join us for this fun workshop where you will learn to make your very own saddle-stitched notebooks. Saddle-stitching is a simple but very versatile binding that you can use to make a wide range of notebooks, pamphlets, and zines. 

In this workshop you will make and leave with a small notebook that is able to slide onto the front of a book, perfect to use when you’re reading. 

Afterwards, you will be able to decorate your notebooks using a variety of patterned papers, markers and colour pencils, and you can also try using a foiling tool to add a beautiful metallic touch. 

All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary :)

The morning session will take place from 10:30 - 12:30.
The afternoon session will take place from 14:30 - 16:30.
Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your start time to get seated and settled!

Minuet Workshop is a graphic design and bookbinding studio that makes books and bookish things; a bookish playground. Here you will find a range of unique journals, planners, and reading companions made by Stephanie, a book: lover, binder, and designer with a background in literature and graphic design.

Very Small Bookshop is a queer owned independent bookshop, housed in a 20 square foot shipping container, based at Willway Yard, in Bedminster. This event will be held in the large gallery space behind the shop. The event will be seated and is accessible for wheelchair users with access to disabled toilets.
