A event on Saturday 9th May. The event starts at 14:00.
A workshop run by a Renske, a medical artist and physiotherapist, and Anastasia, a dance and performance artist, to explore and connect to the incredibly beautiful bones of the upper body — shoulder blades and collarbones.
In this session, we want to take the time to explore these bones through anatomy (looking at anatomical images, tracing the bones with our fingers) and through poetic interpretation — guided somatic movement, improvisation and drawing.
Importantly, there's no prerequisite of being "good" at dancing or drawing — rather, we'll be using these methods for building a personal relationship to these structures of our bodies, exploring our own ways of relating to their qualities. As such, everyone is welcome to participate.
One part of the workshop involves touch. We'll be pairing up for this exercise but if this doesn't work for you for whatever reason, you're welcome to come with a friend and work with them (a discount is offered for booking 2 tickets) or opt out and do a solo exploration instead.
There will be breaks of course! Please bring snacks if you need them. There's also a cafe on the farm and a kettle in the studio (we'll offer teas).
You can contact Anastasia at [email protected] or @anastasia_dahl on instagram with any questions.
