Pond Dipping and Underwater Listening with Ian Thornhill & Kathy Hinde

Join freshwater ecologist, Ian Thornhill, to investigate and learn about the wildlife living in the pond at Windmill Hill Farm by pond-dipping and carrying out a water quality survey. Ian will be accompanied by artist Kathy Hinde who invites you to listen to the wildlife garden from a new perspective using different kinds of microphones and listening enhancing devices.

Tune in to the tiny sounds made by underwater creatures and plants; listen closely to the inner world of a tree and discover sounds from below the surface of the ground.

All equipment will be provided.
