A event on Sunday 14th June. The event starts at 14:00.
Step into a world of myth, instinct, and imagination in this hands-on horm adornment workshop exploring the symbolic power of horns and wild transformation. Inspired by folklore, forest creatures, and seasonal rituals, participants will create their own wearable piece designed to embody an imagined, instinctual, or mythic self.
Through the making of those horns we will explore what it means to reconnect with our “wild self” the part of us linked to nature, intuition, and inner wisdom. Participants will be guided through the process of shaping and building their adornment, from choosing different horn forms and sculptural silhouettes to selecting fabrics, textures, colours, and decorative details that express mood and meaning.
The session will include:
- Inspirational imagery of mythological horned beings and folkloric archetypes
- A guided intention-setting exercise to connect with your adornment and wild self
- An introduction to different horn and symbolic meanings
- Building the structure and form of the headpiece
- Choosing fabrics, textures, and colours to shape mood and character
- Adding decorative details and personal elements
- Optional embodiment, photography, and sharing at the end of the workshop
