on Saturday 31st August. The event starts at 19:30.
Join us for a summer concert with Bristol’s ‘biggest boy band’ the Bristol Male Voice Choir, and our favourite local 'seafarers' The Frampton Shantymen. Between them they offer a varied programme of light music from spirituals and folk songs to modern musicals and sea-shanties.
The well-known Bristol Male Voice Choir have been together for almost 50 years, performing in the UK, Eastern Europe, and New York as well as Bristol.
The Frampton Shantymen are a group of mates who started singing in the local pub as a way to get people to move away and leave them space to sit. Then they tried sea shanties and people stayed and joined in - they’d hit on something popular!
Winterbourne Barn is currently undergoing building and conservation work, so this concert will be held in nextdoor St Michael’s Church. Doors open from 7pm. Tickets: £10 adults, £5 children under 16.
