Disabled Munch/social

This is a space for disabled and chronically ill kinksters to socialise! Open to all who ID as disabled regardless of diagnoses or lack of. Please bring a carer if you need one to enable you to attend. Usually every first Monday of the month.

The full address is Wiper & True, Unit 11, City Business Park, St Jude's, Bristol BS5 0SP. It's the central building in the business park, and you will find the entrance to the pub behind the brewery. Space for 3 cars out the front on double yellows (with a blue badge), and more parking out on the brewery side of the building. Nearby bus stops: Easton Road, Thrissell Street.

Many of us are immunocompromised; please help us keep our community safe by masking on public transport, taking an LFT before attending, and staying home if you feel unwell with a cough, sneezes, fever, or other symptoms of colds, flu and covid. Free masks and LFTs available from covidsaferbristol.org if cost is a barrier. The venue is spacious with very high ceilings to help air flow and we have a small air purifier.

Queer-friendly venue! Gender neutral toilets with urinals and stalls, one large disabled toilet, all with braille signs. Prices are around £3.80 for a pint of coke, £6.50 for a pint of beer or cider, bottles of mixer £2.70. Bar snacks are available, the pizza van is sometimes open and does a pizza and pint for £15 deal. If the pizza van is closed you're welcome to bring or order food.

Access:

Wiper & True is wheelchair accessible with space to manoeuvre. Space for wheelchairs at the tables. Seating is cushioned booth seats and wide chairs with back support and short arms. There is a lowered bar. Music is used but at a low volume, fans in the brewery provide constant low level white noise. Two curtains across the entrances; if you need help moving them please wave for attention.
