Jack Bessant & The Wolfpack 'Spider Hair' Album Launch at Wiper and True Brewery & Taproom

A gig held at Wiper and True Brewery & Taproom on Saturday 19th September. The event starts at 20:00.

Wiper and True are delighted to be joined by Jack Bessant, celebrating the release of the forthcoming album Spider Hair.

One of the founding members of legendary 90s alternative rock band "Reef", Jack launched his solo career in 2015 with a vision to nourish his soul and others around him. His music fuses Americana, Folk and Blues with Heavy Rock and Trip-Hop.

The forthcoming ablum Spider Hair, (Autumn 2026), is the culmination of a road long travelled that has taken him to the highest echelons of the music industry. It builds on his previous solo releases Lucky Mountain (Album 2020) and Brother Thunder (EP 2020). There's a certain symmetry to Jack's journey. He grew up on the Strawberry farm in the West Country in the 70s and 80s where he is currently rasining his own sons, re-immersed in the Somerset landscape of his childhood, reconnected with his community. He has worked to strip back the walls of the 14th century farmhouse to let his home breath, just as he has stripped back his music to let the work breath, resulting in a sound that is honest and organic. "It's been about finding your path," explains Jack, "gaining the confidence to just stand in front of a mic with a guitar and harmonica and share songs from the soul that have meaning and emotion and heart."

This is a free event, no tickets are required - 100% of the proceeds of fundraising tickets will go to Wiper and True's charity partner for 2025, supporting their work in homelessness prevention in Bristol. Read more about their work here - https://www.caringinbristol.org.uk/.
