RADMIN is a guided and coached creative program. It takes 4 hours per week, in your own time, wherever you are. Please note, there are no weekly online group meetings in RADMIN, we will connect in other ways.
An opportunity to get out of your own patterns (circles, lines, grids) and into new ones. RADMIN is designed to equip you for active livelihood manoeuvres in complex times and emerging situations (now!).
Who we are: This event is organised by Chiz Williams and Kate Rich whose collectiveexperience spans 30+ years working in art and trade, events management, accounts management, cinema operations, grant writing, social clubs, arts mentoring, feminist economics and (feral) business coaching and consultancy.
Who RADMIN is for: anyone seeking fresh perspectives on their administrative lives. Individuals and small delegations from organisations, institutions or collectives are welcome to join. RADMIN isdesignedtobring a sense of possibility, evenexcitement, into the daily routines of management and maintenance.
What to be ready for during RADMIN:
- It happening all over the world, but you are not required to leave your own neighbourhoods.
- A weekly supply of uncommon tasks, practical exercises, alien encounters and predicaments.
- Solidarity and solitude, imagination and obstacles, patience and persistence.
- Each activity to be a functional surprise and an tactile exploration.
- Uncanny program contributions from indoor/outdoor survival guide Heath Bunting, artist, farmer and boxing coach Grace Gamage and musician/artist Áine O'Dwyer.
About RADMIN: Slicing across domains of artistic, domestic, academic, and entrepreneurial life, administration is something we all have in common. Both urgent and everyday, its practices – fundraising, budgeting, banking, emailing, accounting, filing, meeting, managing, maintaining, stapling – seep into individual and collective situations yet are rarely celebrated, and sometimes even barely acknowledged. The idea of RADMIN takes adminstration– that renowned furball of alienation and adversity –as a place for action, reflection and experiments.
Cost: Individuals - £185 for self-funded participants, £275 for those with access to workplace professional development funds. Organisations - £325 for small delegations (2-5 people) from an organisation or collective. If applying as a small delegation, please nominate one person who will be your single point of contact for RADMIN. Large groups of over 5 people: price by negotiation, please contact us at [email protected]. No one turned away for lack of funds.
