A
gig
held at Zed Alley
on Friday 17th May. The event starts at 19:30.
We are so frickin excited to be a part of HAVVK's 'Drawn Together Tour' which gathers more female identifying and non-binary artists to give a more inclusive and diverse live music show.
**NOTE: Unfortunately Mauwe had to pull out of this gig due to personal commitments. But after a quick shoutout we have found a replacement in the gawgeous Deep Sea Thieves!
This Punka Presents gig is a different kind of lineup for us mixing the epic riff of Deep Sea Thieves, the grunge fueled vocal beauty of HAVVK and the steely noise of our headline Oh, The Guilt. The gig will take place on Friday 17th of May at Zed Alley, BS1 4UA.
Ruby Rawbone is on holiday for this gig so we have enlisted Sid Delirium from our Punka family to host this gig. We know she is gonna SLAY! :)
“Oh, The Guilt are a noisy dream pop three-piece based in Bristol, UK. They weave ice-cold atmospherics, rousing crescendos and overwhelming volume into waves of swooning beauty.
The band are respectful of their musical lineage, but have a desire to move past their influences to create a darkly distinctive sound.
Recent performances on tours across the UK have seen Oh, The Guilt hone and refine their live show into something powerful and unmissable, with an undeniable intensity and chemistry shared by Elijah (vocals/guitar), Hannah (drums/samples) and Chris (vocals/guitar)

With nods to Warpaint, Ian Sweet, and Sleater Kinney, HAVVK produce a haunting and dynamic sound that steers the listener from moments of immersive shoe-gaze to thrashing punk rock, all fronted by a soaring, bewitching vocal.
In addition to their own music, the band have also founded their label, Veta Records, working with acts such as Maria Kelly, DYVR, and Sive. In 2017, Julie Hawk co-founded SelfMade, a platform to explore DIY music in Ireland through performance, discussion, and art. She also produced an illustration series, Female Fronted Drawn Together, celebrating women in music.
This Bristol based trio have been racking up quite a following from their gigs across the city and also built up quite a reputation for just being bloody lovely too! They released their self titled EP in February 2019 and we couldn't be happier to have them on our line up. Do not miss them opening the show!
