Josie Alford's Launch Party | Faulty Manufacturing at Zed Alley
See event details

A event held at Zed Alley on Friday 3rd March. The event starts at 19:00.

How do you grieve for someone when your relationship was… complicated?
Join Josie to celebrate the launch of her debut poetry collection, Faulty Manufacturing. With support from southwest poetry pals (TBA) and a DJ to party until late, this will be a book launch party to remember.
After her father died in 2017, Josie Alford began writing her debut collection. Faulty Manufacturing is defined by the fractured nature of memory and tracks the development of grief from the immediacy of knowing to learning to live with death. The collection explores themes of addiction, domestic violence and guilt as well as holding space for relief, joy and hope. With deliciously jarring humour, Josie Alford shows grief comes in many forms, she gives it a sparkly jacket.
Tickets are available for just the event or can include buying an advance copy of the book too.
