"The South West gets hella proud with one woman dark comedy piano cabaret from The Bleeding Obvious. Her identity odyssey / coming-out confessional combines with a solo show from Oh The Guilt’s Elijah Dahl for a variety performance par excellence at Zed Alley."

A
event
held at Zed Alley
on Tuesday 22nd November. The event starts at 19:30.
What happens when you tumble out of the big pink closet and across the LGBTQ+ rainbow in a sprawling heap? Well, life is never quite as straight as it seems…
Yorkshire lesbian Jessica Rowbottom stars in a one-woman show describing the coming-out experience with original songs and tales which are sometimes funny, occasionally poignant, frequently emotional and most definitely queer.
As she tries to find labels for her own gender identity and sexuality, Jessica recounts unexpected reactions from family and friends, dating disasters, growing up with section 28 in the 80s, straights at Pride, trans toilet panics and a creepy bloke who may (or may not) be called Dave…
"The queer Victoria Wood" - Yorkshire Post
"A Yorkshire lesbian icon" - Exposed Magazine
"Breathtaking" - Metro UK
"An LGBT+ driven musical trinket box" - Get In Her Ears
"An exploration into musical and lyrical diversity - The Queerness
"Brilliant" - BBC Radio Leeds
