Writing in Conversation with Contemporary Poets
How do we write in connection with, and in response to, our wide community of international writers? In this workshop we will use poems by contemporary poets to explore the following: disrupted narratives, personification as a strategy to handle difficult subjects, the lyric as political resistance, and historical counterpoint as an approach to the contemporary. You will be sent the poems prior to the workshop and asked to read them in advance. Zoom’s auto transcript technology will be available.
