The Stakeout by Firefly Theatre at Acta Community Theatre

A event on Thursday 2nd July. The event starts at 19:00.

It’s day 14 of the stakeout, and the crew are getting restless. Lead by experienced police officer DCI Thomas Cooper, a man who is galvanised by his own ego and the strutting figures of The Manosphere who he watches online, nerves are getting frayed and personalities are beginning to clash.

With a host of intriguing and engaging characters including an old skool informant, a fast-tracked new recruit and an unassuming pizza-delivery man, the unexpected arrival of one of Europe’s top jewel thieves reveals their true colours.

Exploring themes of masculinity, friendship and hierarchy, The Stakeout promises to be a hilarious, thrilling and timely look at male identity in today’s society.

Firefly is acta’s theatre company for men, supporting their mental health and wellbeing. Last year the group performed their first show, 'Muckers'. This year, they have welcomed new members and are delighted to be presenting their second show.

We have an open pricing structure for our tickets – we ask for £3 for a concession ticket, £5 for a full price ticket, or £10 for a Pay-It-Forward ticket and it’s up to you to decide which of those feels more comfortable for you. If you would like to pay more, we would be very grateful if you could donate on top of your ticket.

The Stakeout is made possible thanks to the generous support of our funder, The Baring Foundation.
