on Saturday 25th April. The event starts at 21:00.
25th April sees Dèep Bristol host the exceptional tunesmith that is ROB REDFORD/X-TRAX for a rare, very special Bristol appearance.
Originally hailing from South London, his work is rooted in deep house, classic house, and MPC-inspired rhythmic electronic styles, often drawing inspiration from the golden eras of Chicago and Detroit house and is known for blending soulful grooves, drum-machine-driven rhythms, and an analog-rich aesthetic that nods to underground house traditions.
His early musical influences growing up were around UK pirate radio and jungle/DnB scenes, before moving into house music and there are hints of this in some of his raw rhythmic tracks that create a deep, spiritual connection that resonates emotionally with listeners.
His growing discography has seen 3 EPs signed to Bristol's own Boogie Cafe Records no less and also To The Rock Records among others and on top of this, under his X-TRAX alias, he has had a series of EPs one of which features a remix by Scottish deep house maestro Craig Smith.
As ever, support from Dèep residents Delster and Jason Blake.
See you on the dancefloor. XX
