Make Your Own Photography Zine

Come along and get creative at Arnolfini with an afternoon of photography zine-making.

In celebration of Joy Gregory: Catching Flies with Honey, this drop-in workshop invites you to experiment with photography, collage and zine-making.

Using photocopies of analogue photographs, you’ll be able to cut, stick, fold and experiment to create your own photography zine.

The images available to use have been made during a series of Mindful Photography workshops held at Arnolfini in November. Participants explored mindful photography using analogue cameras, taking time to slow down and notice their surroundings whilst exploring Bristol’s Harbourside. The photographs were then hand-developed before being photocopied for this workshop.

Open to all ages. No previous experience is needed and all materials will be provided. Simply drop in, have a go and make something of your own!

Time: 2–5pm
Location: Arnolfini, Reading Room, Level 2

This is a pay-what-you-can workshop, with everyone welcome to contribute what they are able to.

As this is a drop-in session, spaces are limited. If the workshop reaches capacity, you may be asked to wait until a space becomes available.

Children under 12 must be supervised by an accompanying adult.

### About the facilitator

Kieran Hayhow is an Arts Council-funded analogue photographer and darkroom printmaker. His interest in photography began as a teenager, but for much of his life it took a back seat.

Kieran studied Film at University College Falmouth before spending several years working on sets across Film, TV and Commercials. He recently left the industry to focus on fine art photography, where mindfulness, intention and process are at the centre of his practice.

Kieran’s work has featured in several group exhibitions over the last two years. He currently has work in the Royal West of England 173rd Annual Open Exhibition and held his first solo exhibition this autumn at Negative Thinking Bristol.
