We are happy to be back in Bristol once again with the heavy dose of breaks you've all been waiting for! This time around we are proud to present old school breakbeat legend Jay Cunning, along with one of Andalusia's biggest name right now, Paket!

Champion of Breaks & Bass riddims since 1999, Jay Cunning is an award-winning bastion of cutting edge dance music whose influence stretches way beyond the level of your average DJ. From his residencies at Gatecrasher and RAM Records at The End night club to his pioneering, four-year weekly show on Kiss FM and his labels; Sub Slayers, Sub Nation and Menu Music (alongside Terry Hooligan), Cunning has always positioned himself at the apex where dangerous drums meet searing low end.
Jay announced himself by dropping dubplates on DJ Luck’s Lush FM back in the late 90s, and quickly went on to win iDJ and Musik Magazine’s monthly mixtape competitions in the same month. He was featured in iDJ’s ‘one’s to watch’ list in 2003 and went on to lay down several guest mixes for Annie Nightingale on her Radio 1 show. Gigs in Spain, Russia, China and the USA followed, as well as at the UK’s iconic Glastonbury festival and Serbia’s famous Exit Festival, where he rocked a crowd of 20,000.
In 2013 Jay teamed up once again with Terry Hooligan and started On The Rise Music which focuses on promotion for underground music and also has a DJ & production academy where Jay is the lead tutor.
More recently when you mention the name Jay Cunning you instantly think of We Are Hardcore - a weekly podcast with taken live from his KOOLLONDON radio show. Each week covers the golden Old Skool Hardcore and Jungle era from 1991 to 1996 with legendary guests like Ellis Dee, Slipmatt , The House Crew and ACEN. Add to this, the tribute shows for the likes of Fantazia, World Dance, Moving Shadow and many more, We Are Hardcore is essential listening for any Old Skool Hardcore and Junglist head.

Hailing from Seville, Paket is an award winning producer and founder of Empire Of Music Records. With firm roots in tearout and nuskool breaks, he has releases on more than 20 breaks labels such as Musication Records, Ravesta Records, Distorsion Records and
Funndark Records to name a few. He currently reps the infamous FunkTasty crew and has grown from strength to strength in recent years. Paket has formed a slightly renewed sound and concept of breaks, with his productions evolving towards more harmonious creations, without losing that touch of aggressiveness and those marked bases of nuskool.

Flekino is a Spanish producer and DJ from Andalusia. Currently he collaborates with Paket to run Empire Of Music Records, as well as being one of the core crew members here at Southside Breaks. Since his first performance back in Jaen, he has been widely known for mixing different kinds of breaks from the most elegant tech breaks to the darkest nuskool. He has played across Andalusia and in the UK, alongside artists such as Control-Z, Black Sun Empire, The Brainkiller, Jose Rodriguez and more.

Known in the south west party scene for running SWB Records and laying down iconic breaks and fidget B2B sets. With a heavy dose of tearout and nuskool energy, these two have produced numerous tracks that have gone on to be featured on various iconic breaks labels in recent years, as well as supporting some of the biggest breaks artists both in the UK and internationally. Bringing some of their prized records to spin, expect some tasty flavours and absolute warpers.

Andalusia DJ from Cordoba, based in Bristol. Started in the cabin at the age of 16, playing in events and free parties around Cordoba. Soon started playing in events around Andalusia in places such as Cádiz, Seville and Granada. Shared lineups with well-known Spanish djs such as Rasco, Wally, Aldo Ferrari, Dj Man, Yo Speed and Save the Rave and internationals like Specimen A, Deep Impact, Ctrl-Z, Deekline, JFB and Kraymon. His sets are either full of the best nuskool breaks and tear out of the 00's with powerful bass and overwhelming rhythms or old school breaks with the best retro sounds of the late 90's!

Originally from Cadiz in Spain and now based in Bristol. Demelo is a resident and production manager for the well known brand/label Apex, and has been DJing and producing since 2000, where he has been playing at festivals like Creamfields, Boomtown Fair, Wonderfield Fest. From House to Techno, his musical selection can go from the most melodic and groovy tunes to the overwhelming peak Techno, always maintaining an exquisite taste throughout the set.
