THE ARTISTS

OPTIV B2B BTK

BTK (Virus/Renegade Hardware/Dutty Audio) - BRAZIL

Hailing from Brazil, now based in the heart of Switzerland BTK has worked for an impressive list of heavyweight labels such as Renegade Hardware, Subtitles Music and Virus Recordings. Already setting a firm foundation with these labels and many others, BTK's tracks regularly receive support from some of the biggest DJ's in the scene such as Andy C, Ed Rush & Optical, Friction, Marky, Ink, Dom & Roland, Gridlok, The Upbeats, Audio and many more.

BTK's own label 'Dutty Audio', was founded at the end of 2010. The label acts as an outlet for BTK's own music and collaborations, as well as becoming a home for some renowned guest artists . The first EP'Straight Up', written and produced by the man himself was released to much critical acclaim. Dutty Audio continues to produce quality tracks release after release.

Aside from his colossal and diverse production credentials, his talent as a DJ has helped him gain a solid reputation worldwide. Having sold out venues across Europe and beyond with his highly successful tours, you will already know that there is far more to come from this talented artist. Hold on to your seats for 2012!

OPTIV

Drum & Bass producer from Cause4Concern. Releasing music for the best part of 14 years, Optiv, otherwise known as Edd Holmes has been an integral member of possibly one the most influential Drum & Bass collectives the scene has ever witnessed.

When Optiv's music career began the term MP3 was a mere twinkle in the eye of future music format and at this time acetate was the preferred method for documenting. It's clear to see that with his music being pressed to vinyl on over 20 different labels he has earned his colours and stripes as a master of his trade.

2002 saw the beginning of Optiv's own imprint, Red Light Records, where he released the labels debut 12' 'Strangeways' b/w'Flatworm' and since then the label has seen lots of solo work plus collaborations with Axiom, Chris.su and Rymetyme on tracks that optimise the Red Light sound, techy, rolling and always at a super high production level.

Now living in Switzerland, Optiv continues to deliver outstanding music through Red Light and with the re-ignition of Cause4Concern and further projects in the pipeline, 2012 is set to be an exciting year!

TECHNICOLOUR

Technicolour and his usual partner in crime Komatic are one of the most exciting new duos operating at the musical end of the drum & bass spectrum. Rogers announced his arrival in d&b with a debut 12" on Ennex Records in 2007, and has subsequently seen music released on Technique Recordings, Worldwide Audio and Critical Music. Powell has built up a formidable reputation within the scene through his hugely successful Bassdrive radio show, and releases on Spearhead Digital, Frequency Factory and Digiphunk.

Hooking up through an affiliation with the Drum & Bass Arena message board, their first tracks together, 'Preacher' and'Innervision' were immediately snapped up by Worldwide Audio, who duly released them in April of 2009. With wide-ranging DJ support from the likes of Fabio & Grooverider, High Contrast, Logistics and Blame, and more music forthcoming on Technique Recordings and Bassdrive Digital, it's clear this duo are becoming very hot property indeed.

PULSAR

Exeter local has smashed up the dubstep scene lately with some big releases such as'Bumberclart' with DJ First Aid released on DJ Die's Gutterfunk label. Also featuring on the Ministry of Sound's Dubstep compilation. Watch out for Pulsar he's making moves this year!
