After a long summer filled with ups, downs, new loves, heartbreaks, good food, hot places, dysentery and the occasional drunken stumble we are happy to welcome you back to your humble hometown of Bristol.
To help ease your way back into the normal rhythm of things we’ve decided to get together and host a little showcase of someone of the best young selectors out there right now. We’ll back in the warm, cosy environment of Basement 45, so you can put your feet on the ground and get that 2-step shuffle going.
Joining our roster for the very first time is unrivalled LOVELLIOUS, this Stroud-born, Newcastle based DJ and producer is one of the most exciting talents emerging at the moment. He’s been keeping a steady supply of genuine bangers going since the start of lockdown, recently he’s stepped up the game with some high-profile releases on UK labels resulting in his tracks being played by basically anyone who’s anyone in the UK underground dance scene. This man is hard to pin down and he’s jetting off the Madrid for a year so its an honour to finally have him.
Returning for the third (and definitely not last) time is Le Cons’ favourite DJ LOVE. This guy, otherwise known as ‘yung neffa-t’ is probably the most skilled DJ on this planet. With incredible technical ability, a hell of an ear for good music and a big fat smile on his face, there is no one we’d rather have return to our line-ups. Recently kicking off his production career, DJ LOVE’s tracks have been an instant success and have charted in Soundcloud’s genre charts.
It just so happens that the first time we saw 2QUID we were at Basement 45 after just having done a takeover. We were tired and hungover from the night before, but after seeing these two ladies bounce up and down with their specs on we were immediately revitalised. Their unmated energy, selection, and obvious love for the tunes makes them a perfect addition to the Le Cons roster. After having opened a discussion with them back in the spring we are gassed to finally having them perform alongside the Le Cons name.
In addition to these three sexy acts we have Le Cons resident MR SOUNDMAN hosting a super fun, loud and in your face takeover in room 2 that’s going to ensure this is a night to remember.
