Dub From Above is back in Basement 45 once again with a wicked line up that is sure to make the ceiling shake. We will have some veteran MC's and big tune selectas along with two heavy weight sound systems supplying the vibes over two rooms!

SOOM T
Soom is someone who needs no introduction. Known for her Solo work in Ode To A Karrot and her latest album Born Again, as well as her collaborative work with the likes of Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Vibronics, Solo Banton, Mad Professor and many more. Soom Makes up 1/3 of the logistical team behind Dub From Above, the idea was born out of a desire to return to hosting sound system sessions. This is a platform for her to invite her musical brethren and sistren who she has met throughout her career to her newly adopted hometown to come and play at her exclusive residency.

BROTHER CULTURE
Hailing from the London borough of Brixton, Brother Culture is a well seasoned sound system MC who started out on Jah Revelation Muzik Sound System in the 1980’s. Since than he has been more than prolific, playing at sessions around the world on a regular basis and collaborating with Mad Professor, Joe Ariwa, Mad Professor, Wackies and the Prodigy to name a few.

EMPRESS SHEMA WITH DUB JUDAH
Empress Shema started out on her roots reggae journey in 1998 in Tokyo, moving to London in 2002 and learning to make music in the studio. She has since had releases on Conscious sounds Label and King Alpha Label, Roots Temple, Reggae On Top as well as setting up her own label, Name By Nature Productions. Joining her will be UK Dub Legend DUB JUDAH, adding vocal and live instrumental elements to the set. This is one for the ites!

KREED X GARDNA
This Bristol based duo spent 2017 shelling down at festivals and venues all over the country, taking their distinct blend of roots, sound system music, Dubstep and Jungle everywhere they go. Part of the Boom Sound Family, their latest release on the label has been hailed up by the one David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan and was aired on his Radio 1xtra show. PARLY B
Parly B has been bringing pure nicesness to sessions around the UK Since 2012 with his unique style of delivery. Working with the new generation of sounds and producers, Parly has played and collaborated with The Skints, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Mungos Hi-Fi, Chief Rockas, Danny T and Tradesman. Parly will be linking up with Kreed and Gardna on stage to blaze up the fyaaah.

FAT STASH
Bristol native and omnipresent on the Reggae / Dancehall scene in the UK, the three lads never cease to bring a party into full potential with their unrivalled energy and roots-inspired sound. Running their set as a show, the boys get people moving with some fast beats and heavy bass. Dub Boy is a Bristol based promoter and DJ who’s Dubplate arsenal is jam packed with everything on the spectrum of carnival music. From roots reggae and dancehall to his soca sets, Dub Boy is guaranteed to draw for selections that make your body rock and sway.

LIONPULSE SOUND SYSTEM (POWERING ROOM 1)
After joining us for our launch party in January we decided to invite the whole Lionpulse family back to power the main room with their heavyweight, custom built sound system. Gerard and Henry formed the sound in 2009 and put together their boxes in 2013. Since then they have become an integral part of Boomtown Fair, making up 1/3 of the Lion Unit Sound System, alongside Qualitex and Unit 137.

HEADSESSIONS SOUND SYSTEM (POWERING ROOM 2)
The headsessions crew will be bringing some serious bass weight and pressure from the south coast. Formed in Southampton, the sound has been promoting roots music and its message since 2012, bringing premier sound systems to the city like channel one, aba shanti-I, reggae roast, dub dynasty and mungos hifi. The System was built in 2013 and they have been improving and upgrading since then.
