For our November edition we welcome US house maestro Todd'The God' Edwards for a rare UK appearance. Through his utterly distinctive style, Edwards had a had a massive impact in shaping the direction of modern house music and helped usher in underground UK garage with his oft-imitated but never bettered use of cut-up vocal samples. Edwards remains as relevant as ever through his recent productions and his influence on modern artists as diverse as Burial and Akufen.
In support we have Crazylegs debuts from R&S man of the moment Pariah and Night Slugs American import Kingdom. As anyone who heard Kingdom's mix for Fact Magazine can attest, his unique blend of technicolour R&B melodics and floor destroying bass place him at the forefront of Night Slugs' attack on house music. Following the release of his'Safehouses' EP on the legendary Belgian label R&S, Pariah's effortless mesh of lushly melodic garage and Flylo inspired low slung funk promise to propel him towards Orbison levels of mainstream success:
