Soft Butch and Crotch join forces and bring California-based legend Ani Klang to Bristol for a stank-face-fueled Scoprio szn celebration. This is a Queer-led night, for everybody to join. Expect the juiciest blend of Soft Butch's latinx, afro and melodic house, and drum n bass flavours from LEXX + melodic techno, hardcore and kick tasties from the Crotch gang and Ani Klang.

Ani Klang is a California-raised, Berlin-honed, international music producer and DJ. She’s a pioneer in experimental club music, creating battlefields of percussion packed with colossal kick drums and mechanical clangs, punctuated by surprising moments of suspense and tension. Prior to releasing her first full-length, self-titled album, Ani has three striking EPs under her belt. Burn the Empire, her most recent, came out on Hyperboloid Records in 2020 after debuting at Berghain in 2019. A testament to her eclectic production capabilities, this genre-splicing seven-track EP gave us a glimpse of Ani’s new direction – one which has now been perfected on her self-titled 2022 album. Klang released her eponymous record during her third international tour in July 2022, hitting festivals and clubs across Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Belgium, and the United Kingdom.

Emerging from Bristol’s underground queer rave scene and making big trans-femme moves is the party powerhouse K-RUSH. On top of her solo work as a DJ, Poet and Rapper, she is a resident DJ/member of Bristol clubnights Crotch, Conqueer and Dons Of Disco. K’s sets are the definition of dynamic, each time pushing through her unique mix of eclectic and electrifying Electro, Techno, UKB, 140, Trance and Hardcore with a queer twist and encapsulating energy. Her first three years behind the decks have taken her to some of the best parties and gatherings in the UK including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Noisily, Bristol Pride and Save Our Scene not to mention the countless club nights in Bristol, appearing alongside Mandidextrous, Pxssy Palace, Nightmares of Wax, Grove and countless underground queer icons.

Bendy Wendy is a queer genre-bending DJ and producer from Bristol that has garnered attention through their residency with Crotch. They’re a selector by nature, priding themself on their ability to attune their sets depending on the crowd's response and engagement. Their most recent release ‘Disco Stick’ came out in June 2024 through Busy Buss which has already had a great response on the dancefloor. Being a producer adds a unique flair to their sets that keeps things exciting and euphoric for both them and the crowd. With an expansive catalog of unreleased tracks, they aren’t one to be missed. They’ve performed alongside Mandidextrous, Queer House Party, Bby Goose, Blood of Aza, Club Siren, Aly Berry and many more.

Angel was born and bred in the heart and soul of the Bristol music scene. Coming from the West Country with her roots planted in Reggae, Drum & Bass and Trip Hop, later branching into other areas of underground dance music genres, such as Acid Jazz, Broken Beat and Deep and Soulful House. With her big smile and infectious energy and dance moves, she has perfected the ingredients to make any event an experience to remember.
ACCESS:
Ramps can be put in place in a Matter of minutes to make the venue accessible for wheelchair users. There are no accessible toilets but the closest ones can be found in the O2 Academy, 270 feet away from Basement 45 (wheelchair accessible route here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JAGT9HLKwPbCtfAD6). The O2's accessible toilet is located on the ground floor at the rear of the venue which staff can guide you to and assist with access if needed. The toilets in the venue will be made gender neutral for the night.
There will be a photographer on the night. If you don't want to be in pictures, please talk to our door greeter on arrival.
