A event on Friday 24th April. The event starts at 19:00.
Circles never end. They may pause, go underground, or wait for the right moment to re emerge.
This is that moment.
Inner Adventure Guide's Women's Yoga Circle is returning. Richer for everything that has happened in the time between. New wisdom from the Womancraft teachings of Jane Hardwicke Collings is alchemised into the Yoni Shakti teachings of Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. Deeper roots in the women's ritual knowledge preserved by Barbara G. Walker. And something entirely new woven in: the therapeutic power of sound, now held by a fully qualified BAST-trained sound therapist.
And this time, we gather in a real home. Bellevue Studio in Totterdown, Bristol, with views across the city skyline, soup on the stove, and a space that welcomes you with the particular warmth that only a home can offer.
This first gathering is a homecoming. For those who have sat in this circle before, you are welcomed back.
For those arriving for the first time, you are arriving at exactly the right moment.
What to expect
This is not a yoga class. It is a circle and there is a difference. Circle is the medicine.
The Women's Yoga Circles are a monthly gathering rooted in the traditions of women's wisdom and the living lineage of therapeutic yoga practice anda. remembering of feminie wisdom. Drawing on the transformative frameworks of Uma Dinsmore-Tuli's Yoni Shakti, the Womancraft teachings of Jane Hardwicke Collings, and the women's ritual knowledge preserved by Barbara G. Walker, these circles hold space for something that goes deeper than movement or sharing alone.
Each gathering weaves together therapeutic yoga, embodied movement, women's health wisdom, philosophical inquiry, and the restorative power of deep rest. There is time to share, time to be seen and heard, time to move, time to be entirely still, and time to be nourished. The circle opens with closes with herbal tea, carries on with some simple snacks and closes with nourishing homemade mung bean soup. All offered as an act of care as much as sustenance.
These circles are for women and womb-space holders of all phases of life, all stages of cycle, and all levels of yoga experience. You do not need to be flexible. You do not need to have practiced before. You only need to be willing to arrive as you are.
