Join us to celebrate the launch of Left Cultures 4th edition, at the event there will be an open discussion about the new publication, followed by readings, poetry and art from the publication by contributors.

Left Cultures is an annual publication that aims to celebrate all forms of culture creation on the Left covering the political spectrum, there’s socialist, communists and anarchists sat side by side. Each edition contains over 50 personal stories written by an eclectic and inspiring collection of comrades working as artists, writers, musicians, film makers, academics, activists, politicians and much more….. All the stories are brought to life by expressive and unashamedly celebratory of the leftish artists. The publication proudly celebrates the cultures created on the left through creating a roller coaster entertaining ride throughout, open those pages if your dare. Presented by bookhaus.

Editorial Phil Wrigglesworth and Colum Leith

Phil is a Senior Lecturer on the BA Hons Illustration course at UWE Bristol and a practicing illustrator on the left, his work includes the ABCs of Socialism published by Jacobin and Verso Press, he has also worked regularly with The Tribune and STIR to Action.

Colum is the program leader on the BA Hons Graphic Design course at UWE Bristol and is a practicing pamphleteer and illustrator. He publishers his monthly pamphlet ‘Social Commontating’ and has done so for many, many years.
