A event held at Bookhaus on Tuesday 7th March. The event starts at 18:00.

“Gordon Raphael reveals his most cherished experiences
from a life lived utterly for music in his book The World Is
Going To Love This. From studio sessions with The
Strokes to his recollections of the grunge scene, the book
is a passionate paean to music, chronicling Raphael’s
journey through the world of indie.” – Dazed
Legendary, multi-platinum music producer Gordon Raphael’s work
with The Strokes (Is This It, Room On Fire, First Impressions of
Earth), Regina Spektor (Soviet Kitsch) and The Libertines made
him the producer behind some of the most iconic indie and
alternative music of the 2000s. Helping these once-in-a-generation
artists sell millions of records in the process.
Gordon has now detailed his unique approach to production and
story-packed career in beautifully written new memoir, The
World Is Going To Love This. The book takes readers on a
journey from the demise of the Seattle grunge scene to the birth of
a thrilling cultural shift in New York and London that reimagined
rock ‘n’ roll for a new generation of musicians and fans.
Gordon will be in conversation with our resident music obsessive Chris Badley. Expect to hear some amazing anecdotes and stories from an insider to the most exciting Indie Rock of the past three decades. Tickets cost £5 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink and £2 off the price of the book.
