A
event
held at Bookhaus
on Tuesday 7th October. The event starts at 18:00.
Bookhaus is proud to be partnering with En Masse Festival this year. (https://enmasse.dance/)
En Masse is a Bristol-based multi-venue electronic festival that celebrates innovation, community, and immersive experiences. With a lineup curated by the community, the festival champions the contemporary sound of Bristol.
Genres will be bent and broken. Familiar spaces are seen in new light. Reconfigured and rediscovered.
In 2021, En Masse was born out of the desire to have a festival in the UK with an identity inspired by and rooted in the unique, contemporary culture of Bristol. Since its inception, En Masse has grown into a vital meeting point for artists, dancers, and creatives, fostering a culture of collaboration that extends beyond the dancefloor.
We are thrilled to be joined by Dhanveer Singh Brar, a Historian of Black Britain. He will be discussing his book Teklife, Ghettoville, Eski, his book on 21st Century Black British Music, and will offer a preview of his forthcoming project on Gill Scott-Heron. Tickets are free. Please only book them if you are going to come, because we need to have an accurate idea of how many people to expect. Presented by bookhaus.
