A event held at Bookhaus on Wednesday 11th February. The event starts at 18:00.

Join us in store to celebrate the publication of "From Bristol to Palestine" an anthology of poems in support of liberation for the Palestinian people. Edited by Dave Peck The poems in the collection have been performed at rallies in Bristol over the past two years and more since the genocide began. The initial impetus for publication was requests from those attending the rallies who wanted to be able to read what they had heard.

There will be readings from a selection of the featured poets.

Dave Peck says, “Bristol always opens its heart to victims of oppression. It has been a great pleasure to work with the established poets included in this anthology as well as to discover the immense grassroots talent of those whose creativity has been sparked by the horrors we have all experienced via social media. Some of these stepped up and offered to read their poems in public for the first time, initially at the weekly Friday rallies by the Cascade Steps. I am confident readers will be moved by this collection.”

All proceeds from ticket sales and the sale of the book go to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza via two excellent charities:

The Sameer Project
The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund

Tickets cost £7 and include £2 off the books.
