ROUGH TRADE BOOKS: 21st Century Pamphleteer at Bookhaus

A event held at Bookhaus on Wednesday 16th November. The event starts at 18:00.

We are very pleased to be hosting a showcase with Rough Trade Books. Join three authors in conversation about pamphlets they are publishing on a variety of subjects.

Zakiya McKenzie will be discussing her pamphlet Testimonies on the History of Jamaica Vol. 1.
Rose Blake will be discussing her pamphlet Egg and Spoon, about growing up with her Father Peter Blake, the celebrated Pop Artist.
Max Porter will be discussing his pamphlet It’s Going to be a Bright New Day, an extended interview with the musician Will Oldham (AKA Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy).

The three authors will engage in a discussion with writer, poet and Rough Trade Books editor Will Burns.

The pamphlet has a storied history as a short, radical, influential form of communication. This eclectic event should be a great opportunity to explore and revive this format.

Tickets are £5 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink.
