Misfits and Outcasts comprises four films we love and knew we had to include, but which did not fit neatly into any of our other themes and programmes. After all, what's more queer than being an outsider?

In a dreamy techno-future, one humanoid robot begins to learn about the world while their scientist handler tries to keep them on task. She soon learns that they might have more in common than she initially thought.
FACTORY TALK

Factory Talk is an intergenerational conversation about identity, sexuality and masculinity in a rural factory. Through the clanging of metal they make small talk, but as the gripes and grumbles testify to better times, the questions rising on the factory floor are of more than just nostalgia.
THRIVE
D: Jamie Dispirito
Two men think they've just meeting for a one night stand, but when some medication is left out by mistake it prompts a much deeper conversation than either were expecting.

For Mít, a gender fluid person, a life between two worlds is nothing new. Balancing their family life and romantic relationships, as well as their Vietnamese heritage, Mít has to search for the connection between identities believed to be incompatible.

All tickets to both our physical and online screenings are available through Headfirst via our website, or at the Bricks Bristol Box Office during the film festival. Tickets for most events are on a sliding scale of £2, £4, £6 or £8. Choose what to pay based on your circumstances. We ask that you be honest with yourself about your financial situation. This allows us to provide financial flexibility to those who need it most and makes PIFF affordable to more people alongside sustaining the festival and supporting queer filmmakers. THE PALACE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
The Palace International Film Festival, Bristol’s annual LGBTQIA+ cinematic event, happening 8th – 12th September at Bricks in St Anne’s, will be showcasing 100+ queer shorts, feature films, performances, workshops, virtual reality and a film archive exhibition!

All events and screenings will take place at our new home, Bricks Bristol, located at St Anne's House.
Getting to Bricks:
- No. 36 Bus runs from Bristol City Centre to our front door every 30 minutes. First Bus 36 Timetable
- 20-minute walk from Lawrence Hill train station (via Feeder Road)
- 8-minute cycle ride from Bristol Temple Meads station (via Feeder Road). Get to BTM by Ferry, Bus or Train.
- Car park access, though active travel is encouraged where possible.
