Doors: 2200

Ryoji Ikeda’s latest audiovisual live show mines material from his pulsating 2022 album of the same name, rendering arithmetical and computational data into razor-sharp sound/image patterns which overload the senses and represent some of his most dancefloor-friendly output to date.

Also performing in the Beacon Hall is US producer and composer Jlin, whose thrilling, emotional, and multidimensional compositions have quickly established her as one of the most distinctive composers in America and one of the most influential women in electronic music. Jlin's show will feature visuals by Florence To. Jlin and Florence To present 'Akoma'.

Ryoji Ikeda
A Japanese artist with a singular place in the lineage of audiovisual art and performance, known for precise and deeply rhythmic work mining the ‘datamatics’ of light and sound phenomena, and for heavily-sensory live shows and installations. Ryoji Ikeda’s seminal albums ‘+/-‘(1996), ‘0°C’ (1998), ‘matrix’ (2000), ‘dataplex’ (2005), ‘test pattern’ (2008), and ‘supercodex’ (2013) pioneered a new minimal world of electronic music through his razor-sharp techniques and aesthetics, whilst acclaimed performances like ‘superposition’ and ‘100 cymbals’ have been presented at the the likes of the Pompidou Centre, The Metropolitan Museum and Philharmonie de Paris.

Jlin
Jlin (Jerrilynn Patton) has quickly become one of the most distinctive composers in America and one of the most influential women in electronic music. Her thrilling, emotional, and multidimensional compositions have earned her praise as “one of the most forward-thinking contemporary composers in any genre.” (Pitchfork)
