Yann Tiersen at Bristol Beacon
See event details

A gig held at Bristol Beacon on Friday 6th February. The event starts at 19:00.

Visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist Yann Tiersen brings his latest project Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour to life in a captivating solo piano and electronics performance.

Known for his evocative scores (Amélie, Good Bye Lenin!) and his uncompromising artistic vision, Tiersen continues to challenge conventions – both musical and societal.

The performance reflects his ongoing exploration of connection, nature, and resistance. Rathlin from a Distance offers introspective piano meditations inspired by his solitary sea voyages, each piece a quiet map to the self. Its companion, The Liquid Hour, bursts with pulsing electronics and raw, transformative energy – an urgent, hopeful response to a world in flux.
