Euphoria Show Choir at Colston Hall
£FREE

A gig held at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 15th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Inspired by the television series Glee airing on British television, Euphoria Show Choir was created in September 2010 by professional singer and vocal teacher Rachel Walker, and professional dancers Tina Kelly and Emma Mason. Show Choirs are a relatively new concept in Great Britain, but despite this Euphoria has gained a large fan base and are known by the British media as'The UK's Best Show Choir.'

In their very first public performance in December 2010 in the foyer of the Colston Hall, Euphoria was talent-spotted by the PR company who were putting together the 2010 Britain's Got Talent winners, Spelbound's UK tour. Euphoria received rave reviews for their performance on the Spelbound tour in April 2011, and attracted a great deal of media attention. Since then, the choir has been featured in the British and American press, performed live on BBC Television and Radio and in many public performances across the UK, including Gloryfest where the choir performed with a MOBO award winning rapper.

In 2012 Euphoria headlined in a number of notable events across the country to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, were invited to perform at the London Olympics, and gave a magnificent performance the legendary venue the Royal Albert Hall in London, where they were the first Show Choir in history to perform for the children's charity Barnardo's in their acclaimed Young Supporters Concert.

Euphoria has recently returned from New York, where they were invited to be the first British Show Choir in history to guest star in the National Show Choir Championships of America. Their performance received the only full standing ovation of the night, outstanding scores from the judges and due to their exceptional performance they were given the FAME award. Euphoria are delighted to be the only international choir to have ever won this coveted award.

Over the next few months, Euphoria is in demand again. Due to their high-profile performance in New York they have been invited to perform as guest stars in the National Show Choir Championships of Ireland, in Dublin. They will also be giving lots of performances in the North Somerset area, and are frequently asked to work with Show Choirs from across the world, so may well be travelling abroad again soon
