A gig held at Bristol Beacon on Thursday 14th July. The event starts at 20:00pm.
Known for his adventurous musical productions, Quantic Music (headed by producer, selector, musician and DJ Will Holland) demonstrates skill for marrying a variety of sounds with the modern dance floor aesthetic. Quantic will be joined on the 1000 Watts Tour by legendary Colombian drummer/percussionist Wilson Viveros, regular Quantic collaborators Sylvester Onyejiaka (horns and keys) and Nidia Góngora (vocals), as well as Christopher Ellis.
The show will encompass the many guises and eras of Quantic's recordings; from early down-tempo to Jazz, and the more recent period of Colombian-based Cumbia & Latin soul. But, with the impending release of 1000 Watts, Holland will drop some tropical reggae and dub-infused rhythms into the show.
Following their sell out gig in The Lantern last year, we're excited to welcome The Hot 8 Brass Band as support. Expect an evening of tropical rhythm, horns that make you dance, bass lines a plenty and inspiring music for all.
