The multi-instrumentalist Radio 2 Folk Award-winners released a new album, Broadside, last year and will undoubtedly be in fine fettle for this evening's celebrations, where they are performing two sets over the stroke of midnight.
Joining them are rambunctious septet Brassroots, who'make a mighty fine racket' (Nige Tassell, WOMAD) with their brass-tinged pop covers. Rounding out the line-up are Bristol-based acoustic band Spiro plus a whole building of pop-up foyer entertainment and impromptu performances, bringing a party atmosphere to your new year celebrations.
