See event details

A gig held at Bristol Beacon on Wednesday 18th June. The event starts at 20:00.

Plus support from Mumble Tide & Boci

Tamasene is the solo project of Elliot Ellison Holder, known for his work with Bristol’s psychedelic pop outfit Cousin Kula.

Joined by longtime collaborator Will Wells, the pair craft a lush blend of indie pop, folk, and psychedelia, threaded with subtle jazz textures and cinematic string flourishes. Their debut album, ‘Hangin’ In or Hangin’ Out’, made such an impression it was signed by French label Nice Guys before a single track was released.

Drawing comparisons to Andy Shauf, Whitney, and Nick Drake, Tamasene’s sound feels both timeless and quietly bold. This special hometown show marks the album’s official live debut and will feature full-band performances from the core band enhanced by a small string section, lap-steel guitar, trumpet, and flute, adding rich textures and emotional depth to bring the record to life in a dynamic, expanded arrangement for one night only.
