Adam Coombs - Film Premiere; TAPESTRIES I-VI Special support from KiF Productions - Still Out, Ambient Road Trip Tickets £8 OTD. £10 Venue - Megascreen Bristol with Dolby Surround Sound - Anchor Rd, Bristol BS1 5TT TAPESTRIES I - VI is a 45-minute album which inspired film maker TWF to create an immersive film exploring the emotional aftermath of a family’s dissolution. Fusing epic orchestral passages, ambient textures, lo-fi elements, and processed electronics—crafted through the creative use of tape machines—the work captures a deeply personal journey through mental fragmentation, reflection, and healing. Inspired by the alchemical transformation from chaos to clarity and the ancient concept of pathei-mathos ("learning through suffering"), the piece is a meditation on resilience, growth, and the quiet emergence of hope. Adam Coombs will be performing live beside his original album. Strobe Warning - Strobing will be used occasionally throughout the film. https://adamcoombs1.bandcamp.com/album/tapestries-i-vi https://www.instagram.com/adamcoombs2/ STILL OUT - Touching on friendship, place and the passing of time, STILL OUT is an audio-visual collaboration between music producers Will Cookson and Tom Haverly and filmmaker Rufus Exton. Non-narrative in form, it evokes a road trip they took together in the summer of 2024 from Yorkshire to Devon, using footage of the natural world to illuminate a musical collage inspired by their rediscovery of The KLF’s iconic 1990 album Chill Out. Taking in various landscapes referenced in the music, their journey was shot by friend and filmmaker Rufus Exton. The resulting footage was then edited into a 40-minute reflection on what it means to step away from the routine of daily life, celebrating our relationship to the world around us and what it means to pass through time and space.
