Tam Lin Retold - Created by Corinne Harragin and Nick Hart

The ballad may be known as Tam Lin, but he’s only a part of it. Part sung, part told, this is a tale of poison, pluck and changing shape.

Described by audiences as ‘enthralling’ and ‘fresh and full of life’, Tam Lin Retold explores untold stories and unsung voices. Enchanting and sharp in equal measure, this is badass border balladry for the old and the new.

Corinne is a Bristol-based performance storyteller with mixed Irish/British heritage. She creates original work based on folktales, myths and legends viewed through a contemporary lens. She is committed to telling stories that re-centre marginalised voices and silenced histories. As well as engaging with traditional storytelling practices, she uses physical theatre, stand-up comedy & audience participation to create brand new storytelling performances for a modern audience.

Nick Hart is an award-winning singer and multi-instrumentalist whose work with English folk song is rapidly gaining him a reputation as one of the most acclaimed performers of his generation.

The bar will stay open for a jam session around the fire after the event, so (if you feel inclined) bring your instruments to twang & yarns to spin and keep the songs/stories going.
