An event on Saturday 24th October. The event starts at 09:00.
This full-day workshop will give you everything you need to turn a log into a beautiful, usable cooking spoon to take home with you!
You will make your spoon from locally sourced green (fresh) wood using an axe and two types of carving knife, which you will be taught to use safely and effectively. The course is suitable for both complete beginners and those who’ve made spoons before and would like to hone their skills and develop their designs.
Suitable for ages 18+.
Bristol Tree Craft, a not for profit, nature based mental health service rooted in traditional craft. We support young people aged 16 to 25, refugees and asylum seekers, and those accessing addiction recovery services, using creative craft activity in nature to help people build confidence, connection and wellbeing. These weekend workshops directly help fund the work we do.
