A gig held at Cafe Kino on Friday 1st March. The event starts at 20:00.

Come join us at Café Kino for what is set to be a very special evening of music from two of Bristol's finest singer songwriters. Their music is bursting with beauty, honesty and intimacy. If you enjoy lyrics that move you, or melodies and harmonies that tingle the spine, then this one is not to be missed!

Ben Terence

Joined by his full band (Tara Baggott- Piano, vocals. Susannah Gooch- Viola and vocals) Ben will be Performing songs from his long awaited debut album 'fragile mind'. His songs reflect his challenges with mental health and the times of inner peace he's found amidst these experiences. Likened to 'Leonard Cohen' and 'Nick Drake' His music is raw, honest and deeply poetic.
His Voice is deep and powerful, the resonance of which perfectly carries the message of his songs straight to the heart of the listener.

Sophie Munger

Enchanting, poetic, tender and mossy; Sophie Munger is one of the most cherished songwriters of Bristol’s contemporary folk scene. She has featured on BBC radio and taken her show to festivals and events including Anthropos Festival and the Psychedelic Society Symposium in London. Likened to Joni Mitchell and Joanna Newsom, Sophie is able to present a trembling heart with a withering force. Audiences describe her work as “raw’’ “moving” and “ethereal”. Her long-awaited album ‘Talking to the Woods’ was released in 2023.

‘’You sound like you are going to break, but you don’t.’’ (Dr Ben Sessa)

‘’Your music does something remarkable to my nervous system.’’ (Emmy the Harp)

‘’She is a rare and enchanting singer songwriter, and an asset to Bristol’s musical landscape.’’ (Pete the Temp)

‘’Her songs are expressed with emotional sensitivity, empathy, and a reflection on human fragility in voice and music.’’ (Brendan O’Melia)
