COPYCATS PHOTOCLUB at Cafe Kino
See event details

A event held at Cafe Kino on Saturday 4th October. The event starts at 13:30.

In the basement of Cafe Kino on the first Saturday of each month, we look at a photo by a famous or influential photographer - once it's revealed, everyone has ONE HOUR to create their own version of the image.

You can interpret that however you want - match the look, the vibe, try to work out how the original was done or come up with your own process.

After the copycat shots are in, we'll take a look at the person behind the the original photo; their style and methods, their wider career, and why their work is considered important.

Finally, we show our work and vote on awards - for 'Closest Copy', 'Interesting Interpretation', and a 'Wildcat Award' - different every time and decided between us all on the day.

It's a way for photographers of all skill levels to discover new photographic influences, play with new ways of shooting, and meet our fellow photographers.

Hope to see you there!
