‘Or Sobre Blau’, the duo of Kiran Leonard and Andreu G. Serra (Ubaldo), offer a fresh and revitalised take on the free folk and experimental rock genres, providing duo guitar trade-offs and minimalist sheets of tape distorted ambience. This year saw the release of their second record ‘Making Friends’ via STROOM, displaying a more tender and warm angle of their sound, and standing as one of our favourite records of the year in the TM hub. We’re super excited to see how they bring this to Kino’s stage for what is sure to be a special show.
Also performing on the night will be ‘Stroop’, the duo of Bristol musicians Regina Collage and Cameron Smith. The pair’s new project blends the worlds of krautrock-esque post punk and dub influenced minimal synth, shaping them up to be one of the most exciting acts coming out of the Bristol scene today.
Opening up the night is ‘Family Romance LLC’, marking the second performance of enys mottet and Oscar Woolley’s collaborative project. Expect a set running across improvisation, bleak drones and sound collage.
