House of Frills ft. Greg Saunier at Cafe Kino
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"We’re back down to the balmy 20s so there’s no excuse - peel yrself from home for this intimate Kino collab between Rosemary Prowse and near-mythical, needs-no-introduction Deerhoofer Greg Saunier. Fungus-fuelled anti-folk-rock with strange swerving melodies that shine in a minimal drums-n-guitar duo format – a charmer FFO: Ponytail, Sleater-Kinney, Throwing Muses."

A gig held at Cafe Kino on Sunday 28th June. The event starts at 20:30.

House of Frills is a transient project born out of the original songs of Rosemary Prowse - working with acclaimed drummer Greg Saunier of Deerhoof to release her debut album - Supermarket Anomolies.

Join us for a one off show performing together on a summers sunday evening

Electric guitar and drums are the heart of House Of Frills, stripping back to a minimal no fuss approach with genre crossing tunes and a raw diy energy, inspired by the natural world, in particular the queendom of fungi! Rosy works to weave melody like mycelium, changing direction, repeating patterns, freak-folk alt-pop punk singer songwriter.
